Not long ago, we learned that Warner Bros. intend on bringing Teen Titans Go! to the big screen next year, thus making us wonder why they didn’t opt to adapt another of their currently running series that’d have broader appeal like, say, Justice League Action, but it’s not our move to make. On the other hand, they could be launching it in tandem with next year’s live action Titans series, so this could make sense in the end.
Right now, plot details remain under wraps, but it’s expected that the feature film be a larger scale continuation of the adventures seen on the Cartoon Network animated series on which it’s based. As a successor of the original Teen Titans show, the newer incarnation is much more light-hearted, as its 11-minute episodes focus more on whimsy, song and other things that have proven to be highly divisive amongst DC fans. Still, it’s found a rather devoted viewing audience, especially with the younger crowd.

And thanks to a new motion poster released on the film’s official Twitter page, we now know what it’ll be called: Teen Titans Go! To The Movies. Not only that, but the cast was also revealed in the process: Greg Cipes (Beast Boy), Scott Menville (Robin), Khary Payton (Cyborg), Tara Strong (Raven) and Hynden Walch (Starfire). Will Arnett and Kristen Bell were the other names to be confirmed, but their characters remain a mystery for the moment. Suffice it to say that if Arnett’s LEGO Batman makes an appearance, it’ll definitely help with selling at least a few more tickets.
Teen Titans Go! To The Movies is set to open in theaters on July 27, 2018, and will be directed by Aaron Horvath and Peter Rida Michail, from a screenplay by Michael Jelenic and Horvath.
