Anyone here remember SuperShadow? Back in the late 90s when we were getting little leaks and rumors of what would become The Phantom Menace, he was THE go-to guy when it came to finding out what was going to happen in the new movies, apparently having the inside scoop on everything going on at Lucasfilm.
Then the pic came out and it turned out he’d been talking out of his arse. Now, we’re twenty years on and the more things change the more they stay the same, with Mike Zeroh excitedly claiming that he has “leaked details” about what’s definitely going to happen in Star Wars: Episode IX. True, this guy’s been right on a few plot points in the past, but we’ll let you be the judge of whether this latest scoop is true or not.
Zeroh’s apparently gotten wind of Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley shooting scenes together at Pinewood Studios. This isn’t exactly a surprise, but what might be is that they’re apparently going to be taking place in front of the Millennium Falcon set, which will be built to be a brand new design after it was damaged in the escape from Crait at the end of The Last Jedi. So far so logical, but what he goes on to extrapolate from there is that this proves that the concept art he’s apparently seen depicting Kylo Ren – without his helmet – piloting the Falcon must be real.
He then goes on to explain that he hopes Ren will be “strictly evil” in Episode IX – akin to Darth Vader in A New Hope – with any doubts about morality cast by the wayside in a quest for galaxy-spanning domination. Given that by far the most interesting thing about Kylo is his sense of conflict and the fact that one day he could be redeemed to the light, I really hope this isn’t true.
And, ya know, it probably won’t be. Mike Zeroh’s reputation among Star Wars fans isn’t the best, with one person describing him as “a hack. Most of his videos are 100% based on rumors and theories from 4chan and he tries to pass them off as ‘leaks’. None of these leaks or theories have any evidence supporting them, ever.”
Again, though, he’s gotten a few things right in the past, so we’ll leave it with you to decide whether there’s any truth to this latest Star Wars: Episode IX scoop from the YouTuber.
