We already know that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2‘s “Awesome Mix Vol. 2” will feature some great songs, but Marvel has today revealed the listing for Tyler Bates’ original score. As per usual, the title of each track brings with it some potential spoilers for the movie and may even spell out the sequel’s plot.
Among Bates’ other credits are Watchmen, The Belko Experiment, and upcoming Marvel/Netflix series The Punisher. His work in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is almost guaranteed to be impressive then, and without further ado, here’s the track listing for the music we’ll be hearing from him in the James Gunn-directed release:
1. Showtime a-Holes (1:27)
2. vs theAbilisk (2:35)
3. The Mantis Touch (1:53)
4. Spac (3:20)
5. Family History (3:48)
6. Groot Expectations (1:57)
7. Mammalian Bodies (1:50)
8. Starhawk (1:49)
9. Two-Time-Galaxy Savers (3:01)
10. I Know Who You Are (4:20)
11. Ego (2:47)

13. The Expansion (1:05)
14. Mary Poppins and the Rat (3:07)
15. Gods (1:28)
16. Dad (2:28)
17. A Total Hasselhoff (2:01)
18. Sisters (2:05)
19. Guardians of the Frickin Galaxy (0:59)
Makes for pretty interesting reading, right? Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will clearly kick off with the team battling that giant alien before Mantis is introduced, and it’s not going to be long after that until we see Star-Lord learn that Ego the Living Planet is his father.
After that, it’s hard to say for sure what will happen, but “Sisters” definitely has to be taken as an indication that Gamora and Nebula will put their differences aside, with the latter – who is set to return in Avengers: Infinity War – likely lined up to become a permanent member of the team.
We’ll have to wait and see if these titles accurately reflect the events of the film, but with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 set to be released in the UK this coming Friday, you can expect even more spoilers to surface very soon. As always, watch this space for more.
