Marvel now have years of practice when it comes to keeping essential plot details under wraps, and allowing just the tiniest, most tantalizing snippets of information out. It’s almost as if they want to keep fans on the edge of their seats. The latest such snippet comes from the Instagram account of Spider-Man: Homecoming lead actor, Tom Holland, as he continues to film his scenes for the upcoming blockbuster.
The image above depicts Holland along with fellow actors Harrison Osterfield and Jacob Batalon, sitting outside the building that houses the headquarters of Porsche. While it may seem like an innocent shot of young thespians enjoying some downtime in Atlanta, Georgia, eagle-eyed Marvel fans will note that this is the building that doubled as the brand new Avengers HQ in the film Captain America: Civil War.
The clues are certainly beginning to add up. We have long had confirmation that Robert Downey Jr would be reprising his role as Tony Stark/Iron Man in Spider-Man: Homecoming and, more recently, that Jon Favreau would appear as Happy Hogan. These are significant MCU threads that may well include the iconic Avengers HQ building when it comes to building up to the action in Peter Parker’s Marvel Cinematic Universe debut.
