Honestly, what is with movie titles these days. Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol? The Amazing Spider-Man? Transformers: The Dark Of The Moon? And now Sherlock Holmes 2: The Game of Shadows! Really? Like these titles can not get any worse. I really don’t understand it.
Obviously someone seems to think these titles are effective. Like it or not, that is what the new Sherlock Holmes film will be called. It’s not going to change the film or anything, it just sounds rather…stupid. Why not just leave it at Sherlock Holmes 2?
The film will have Guy Ritchie behind the camera directing an all star cast that includes Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Noomi Rapace, Stephen Fry and Jared Harris, will open December 16th. The plot will see “Holmes continuing his pursuit of Professor Moriarty, who, if the investigator’s instincts are correct, might be the world’s first supervillain. Watson, meanwhile, is still trying to be a good partner to his love, Mary Morstan, while keeping Sherlock alive.”
What do you think of the new title?
