In a move that would usually come straight out of a fanfiction, Harry Potter and Doctor Who megastars Rupert Grint and David Tennant will lend their voices to the upcoming movie adaption of Postman Pat, based on the beloved stop-motion British TV series.
According to First Showing, the film will not be in stop-motion, but will be 3D computer animated instead. This is a bit disappointing, and will surely upset lifelong fans of the series.
However, the switch does seem to fit the film’s shiny new plot, which follows Pat (voiced by Stephen Mangan) getting caught up with money and fame when he enters a reality TV talent competition.
Along with Grint and Tennant, another Potter alum (Jim Broadbent) will also lend his voice to the film.
We’ll keep you updated with more details as they surface.
