Even if those disconcerting reports of production woes and reshoots have dampened your excitement for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, there’s no question that the anthology film very much represents a labor of love for director Gareth Edwards.
Over the past few days, we’ve laid eyes on countless new TV spots and promos for Rogue One but today, our attention is drawn not to the Rebel’s plight, but the story behind the scenes. Evoking memories of that rather brilliant sizzle reel from San Diego Comic-Con, here we see Edwards reflect on what he describes as the “greatest job in the world,” as the infectious Star Wars excitement sweeps through the set.
[zergpaid]Truth be told, most, if not all of the footage you see peppered across the featurette is pulled from existing promos and trailers that are already out in the ether, but when put together with Edwards’ commentary – not to mention the insight from Felicity Jones and Diego Luna – it’s almost difficult not to get excited. Guess it’s that infectious Star Wars energy, eh?
Joining Jones and Luna for the spacefaring romp are Riz Ahmed, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Mads Mikkelsen and Ben Mendelsohn as big bad Orson Krennic. Ahead of Rogue One‘s launch next month, you can go up close and personal with each main player via yesterday’s stellar character posters.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is set to take Disney and Lucasfilm’s rejuvenated juggernaut into largely uncharted territory on December 16.
