And we do mean a teaser.
Disney and Lucasfilm have announced that the very first trailer for Godzilla director Gareth Edwards’ Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will debut during Good Morning America on Thursday April 7th, and they’ve released literally one second of footage from the movie to hype it.
It may be brief, but we still get our first official look at some brand new black-armored Stormtroopers that’ll feature in the prequel to A New Hope. One of the many rumors surrounding the production of Rogue One had these guys pegged as “Deathtroopers,” but obviously that’s yet to be confirmed.
[zergpaid]Aside from that, the teaser tells us absolutely nothing about the plot – but we do already know that the story will revolve around a team of rebels led by Felicity Jones’ character, who embark on a dangerous mission to retrieve plans for the first Death Star.
Rogue One: A Star Wars Story also stars Mads Mikkelsen, Ben Mendelsohn, Alan Tudyk, Diego Luna, Forest Whitaker, Donnie Yen and Wen Jiang, and is set to hit theatres on December 16.
