Following up on the widely successful and indeed heart-wrenching release of The Fault in Our Stars, another John Green novel is set to make its way to the screen: the teen-centric mystery, Paper Towns. And just today, the celebrated author took to Twitter to formally announce that the adaptation has found a director in the form of Robot & Frank’s Jake Schreier.

John Green isn’t the only familiar face attached to this interpretation of Paper Towns, for the film is also being penned by Michael H. Webe and Scott Neustadter following their work on The Fault in Our Stars.

Nevertheless, Green’s latest novel to get the cinematic makeover is an entirely different beast in terms of narrative. At its core, it orbits around Quentin “Q” Jacobsen — a humble teenager who has harboured a crush on his neighbour and close friend, Margo. But, as time progressed the two inevitably grew apart. So, when high school rolls around and Margo is effectively the harbinger of cool, our protagonist fancies his chances once again — at least, until she abruptly disappears. Cue the start of a small town mystery as Quentin leads the search for his wayward love.

Paper Towns is currently schooled to hit theatres on July 31st, 2015. Are you looking forward to seeing it? Let us know in the comments section below!
