Whatever side of the fence you find yourself on – or even if you’re perched somewhere in between – the DC Extended Universe hasn’t hit the ground running in the way Warner Bros. would have hoped. Far from it, in fact, with the trio of Man of SteelBatman V Superman and this month’s Suicide Squad each failing to impress across the board.

That places an awful lot of pressure on the shoulders of Wonder Woman, with Patty Jenkins’ spinoff next in line to tumble off the Warner Bros. conveyor belt in 2017. If a new report is to be believed, though, fans needn’t lump their hopes on the Gal Gadot-led offshoot just yet as it’s shaping up to be “another mess.”

Now, let’s make one thing immediately clear – this report, picked up by Comic Book, hailed from an alleged ex-Warner employee, which posted an impassioned rant largely directed at CEO Kevin Tsujihara. In it, the user writing as “Gracie Law” berates WB for its handling of those aforementioned DC tentpoles, doubling down on the botched release of Suicide Squad.

The open letter begins with, “see, I am a former Warner Bros employee. I have so much respect for your studio,” before claiming that Wonder Woman is “such a mess.” You can have a read at the full letter via the link below but for now, here’s the extract directed at Patty Jenkins’ 2017 feature.

“What are you even doing? I wish to God you were forced to live out of a car until you made a #1 movie of the year. Maybe Wonder Woman wouldn’t be such a mess. Don’t try to hide behind the great trailer. People inside are already confirming it’s another mess. It is almost impressive how you keep rewarding the same producers and executives for making the same mistakes, over and over.”

Wonder Woman is due to arrive on these shores come June 2, 2017. Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui, and Lucy Davis round out the starry lineup.
