Ant-Man and the Wasp, the latest effort from Marvel Studios, is now so close we can almost hear Hope Van Dyne fluttering her wings.
Aside from the United Kingdom, Marvel and Peyton Reed’s pint-sized sequel will hit theaters on July 6th, and in light of yesterday’s Infinity War-themed promo, Ant-Man and the Wasp‘s ticket sales are officially live.
Major U.S. theater chains like AMC, Regal, and Cinemark are yet to list any specific times, though there’ve been rumors that an Ant-Man double bill will be available across most, if not all locations in the States – if not North America. Marvel Studios has since confirmed the ticket announcement over on Twitter, too, all the while pointing fans to Fandango’s dedicated page.

Story-wise, we know Ant-Man and the Wasp is all about Scott and Hope’s daring trip into the Quantum Realm, where they must save the long-lost Janet Van Dyne from the clutches of death. In doing so, they inadvertently unleash a brand new MCU villain in Ghost, the shape-shifting menace to be played by Tomb Raider actress Hannah John-Kamen.
Other threats include Walter Goggins (another Tomb Raider graduate) as Sonny Burch, a “low-level criminal-type” hoping to capitalize on Pym tech. Mind you, he’ll have to get past Giant-Man before he can turn any sort of profit.
Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Wasp opens big on July 6th, before expanding across the pond in time for August 3rd – a full 28 days after the fact. It’s a major blow for those U.K. fans itching to see Ant-Man 2 on day one, but it would seem the ongoing World Cup is to blame for Marvel’s staggered release.
