Preview For Adele’s Skyfall Theme Hits The Web

Not long ago, we got the news that Adele had officially been chosen to perform the theme to the upcoming James Bond film Skyfall. Reactions were a bit mixed with some loving the idea of her voice put to a Bond song, while the very same idea caused some hesitation for others. Admittedly, I was a bit skeptical at the notion, but after today, that has changed.

Thanks to The Film Stage, we have a 90-second preview of her Bond theme and the results are sounding quite good. It harkens back to the old school themes, sounding rather different from what we’ve been getting lately.

With the last two Bond themes, it’s been a mixed bag. Chris Cornell’s “You Know My Name” is one of the best themes of the franchise, while Jack White’s “Another Way to Die” was rather forgettable. Hopefully Adele will deliver something that will be worthy of placement among the great Bond themes.

We’ll get our chance to hear the full theme when it’s released this Thursday in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the release of Dr. No. In the meantime, enjoy the sample below, and remember, you can check out Skyfall when it hits theaters on the 26th in the UK and on November 9th in the US (IMAX on November 8th).

The original version was removed but head over to Tumblr and you should be able to find it.
