The world premiere of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, the latest chapter in the long-running Jurassic Park franchise, just wrapped up in Spain, and already a handful of attendees have taken to Twitter to share their impression of the film.
The early word on the highly anticipated J.A. Bayona-directed blockbuster is quite positive, with one person even calling it “f***ing incredible.” However, keep in mind that these are the Tweets of fans, not critics, so the response, and more specifically the RT score, could look very different next month when the film is actually released.
Most of the early reactions are approving though, and, more importantly, encouraging, given the mixed to barely positive response Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World received. In fact, some are going so far as to call Fallen Kingdom “the continuation that the saga deserves” and “the best movie of a great saga!”
One of the more intriguing themes coursing through these reactions is how the sequel feels different when compared to the rest of the Jurassic Park franchise, with one person saying it’s “very different from the first [Jurassic World]” and “a different touch to the saga.” Ultimately, though, it seems as if Fallen Kingdom has won over fans, as there are those calling it “awesome,” “amazing,” and “the beginning of a new era.”
The sequel to 2015’s blockbuster, which earned an astounding $1.6 billion worldwide, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is currently slated for a June 22nd release. And barring some unforeseen disaster at the global box office, Universal plans to get the gang back together for a third and final film – one that will presumably be with us in 2021.
