A film bearing the title Ant-Man and featuring a leading superhero in possession of that name has gifted Marvel with a ton of opportunities for clever marketing ploys. Right from the get-go, the studio has capitalized on the titular hero’s stature to raise audience awareness and get folks talking. That first teaser, for example, was so ‘ant-sized’ that you couldn’t really make anything out. Nevertheless, it did its job and kickstarted the early buzz.
Now, the fun continues down under where a group of observant fans have spotted the studio’s latest promotional angle: Teeny, tiny ant-sized billboards. No, really. A flood of miniature boards have been sighted across Australia and snapped by eagle-eyed Marvelites who uploaded them onto the web for the rest of us to peruse. Check them out in the gallery below:
If those cute marketing antics aren’t to your liking, then Marvel has catered to the rest of us who aren’t the size of matchheads. A brand new motion poster has arrived online featuring leading man Paul Rudd being sized-up from an ant to his regular human standing. As this type of ‘moving poster’ has seen an increase in recent marketing campaigns (Daredevil thrived on it), for a movie such as this it’s finally been utilized to its full potential.
Feast your eyes on the new motion one-sheet and prepare yourself for Ant-Man‘s release on July 17, 2015.
