Seeing how Rob Zombie made his name in the music industry, it’s no accident that the director’s films tend to have pretty memorable, rock-oriented soundtracks, and in a new photo shared from the upcoming Three From Hell, we witness Otis B. Driftwood blasting a song from his prison cell.
The filmmaker took to Instagram once more to post the latest in a long line of images from the sequel to 2005’s The Devil’s Rejects, along with a caption that offers a little context:
“Otis may be spending his days behind bars but at least he’s still got his music.”
Bill Moseley’s character won’t be the only returning player from The Devil’s Rejects who’ll be incarcerated in this next film. The titular trio of Three From Hell is completed by Sid Haig as Captain Spaulding and Sheri Moon Zombie as Vera-Ellen “Baby” Firefly, both of whom will also be seen rotting in a cell.
Whether the three of them stay locked up, however, is another matter. As various set material has already made clear, the new movie will see Otis, Baby and Captain Spaulding go on trial, and between the “Free Baby” t-shirt that Moon is wearing in set photos and the #freethethree hashtag that Zombie keeps using in social media posts, the murderous trio may actually have some public support to get them out of prison.
Granted, that’s still just speculation, and for all the material that Zombie has been sharing, Three From Hell still doesn’t have an official synopsis. On top of that, the movie hasn’t even received a release date yet, but seeing how filming wrapped over 11 months ago, Zombie can only sit on the details for so long. In the meantime, you can expect the social media pics to keep on coming.
