We may have spent a small amount of time with Tom Holland’s wall-crawler in Captain America: Civil War, but the movie simply didn’t have enough room to properly dive into the secrets of Peter Parker’s new suit. Created by Tony Stark, we’ll next get to see the hero swing into action while wearing it in Spider-Man: Homecoming this July. Now, a new action figure has surfaced which offers up an even closer look at the costume, and it may reveal some previously unknown details about this technologically advanced outfit.
Those black lines which previously appeared to only be there for decoration now seem to link up to Spider-Man’s web shooters, with the cartridges dispensed from his belt as and when they’re needed. That’s quite the upgrade and we’re certainly excited to see how the titular hero puts his new gear to use in the upcoming, Jon Watts-directed film.
Created by Medicom, the Spider-Man MAFEX figure pictured above stands 6″ tall and has over 30 points of articulation. Unfortunately, it’s not set to be released until October, but that should coincide nicely with the home video release of Spider-Man: Homecoming. It’s going to retail for $60, too, which is a surprisingly good price for such a detailed toy.
The company has confirmed that they’ll be releasing several more figures from both this movie and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and we expect them to be unveiled in due course. With any luck, they’ll reveal even more details about the highly anticipated films from Marvel, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled for them.
