Warner Bros. has released a new promo for The LEGO Batman Movie which confirms that the movie is coming to the San Diego Comic-Con this weekend. In the fun little video, Will Arnett’s Batman talks about fans being able to take a “sweet selfie” with him at the event, and the studio has since shed some light on what the minifigure Caped Crusader is on about.
LEGO will be bringing a seven foot tall LEGO Batman to the event constructed from 53,998 bricks which took 45 hours to design and 340 hours to be built. The LEGO Batman Movie fans will then have an opportunity to take a selfie with him and to share via social media onsite, using a custom brick-built “Batman Selfie Booth.”
In the irreverent spirit of fun that made The LEGO Movie a hit, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham. If he wants to save the city from a hostile takeover by The Joker (Zach Galifianakis), Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
The LEGO Batman Movie also stars Michael Cera, Rosario Dawson and Ralph Fiennes, and it’s being directed by Chris McKay for a February 10th, 2017 release.
