New Photos Tease Spider-Man: Homecoming’s First Trailer

It's starting to feel very likely that we'll be seeing the first trailer for Jon Watts' Spider-Man: Homecoming well before it's scheduled to arrive. As you no doubt know by now, it's set to premiere along with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which touches down in theatres on December 16th. And while that may very well be the case, we've got a feeling it'll be here a lot sooner than that.

It’s starting to feel very likely that we’ll be seeing the first trailer for Jon Watts’ Spider-Man: Homecoming well before it’s scheduled to arrive. As you no doubt know by now, it’s set to premiere alongside Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, which touches down in theatres on December 16th. And while that may very well be the case, we’ve got a feeling it’ll be here a lot sooner than that.

Why, you ask? Well, there’s a few reasons. For one, that’s how these things usually work. When a trailer is scheduled to premiere in theatres alongside a film, it often hits the web a few days in advance. But aside from that, a portion of the trailer was shown off today at Brazil’s CCXP and reactions and photos from it are already making their way online.

This morning, we got a mini description of the clip from a Twitter user and now, the social networking site is the bearer of good news once again, as another user has brought us a few photos from what appears to be that clip which was shown to audiences at CCXP. You can check them out in the gallery above, but they match up with what we heard this morning, which is that one of the scenes fans got to see at the convention involved Peter Parker (Tom Holland) receiving a suit upgrade in a metal briefcase – which is exactly what the photos above show.

Now, these could just be taken from the set, but either way, they’re yet another new look at the film, which up to this point has been shrouded in so much secrecy that we’ll take whatever we can get. Regardless of where these new shots are from, it’s clear that they depict the scene that was shown at CCXP, and could indicate that Marvel is getting ready to drop the trailer very soon. It may not be today, but definitely keep your eyes peeled over the weekend.

Starring Tom Holland, Michael Keaton, Zendaya, Donald Glover, Jacob Batalon, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Tyne Daly, Bokeem Woodbine, Marisa Tomei and Robert Downey Jr., among many others, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Homecoming will swing into theatres on July 7th, 2017.
