Bloodline‘s Kyle Chandler and Sharon Horgan are among the final contestants to enlist for New Line’s all-star comedy, Game Night.
Word comes by way of Deadline, confirming that Chandler and Horgan have joined a cast comprised of Jesse Plemons (Fargo), Lamorne Morris, and Billy Magnussen. The former will play architect Brooks, who regularly devises a series of fun-filled games for his nearest and dearest. Sharon Horgan, meanwhile, has signed on to play Sarah, a razor-sharp participant who hatches a side plan during the early hours of the night that threatens to derail the entire occasion.
Beyond that, story details are being kept firmly under wraps for the time being, but we imagine the remainder of the cast will pair off into separate couples – couples who regularly participate in a Game Night for an evening of drinks, board games and general malarkey. What should be a treasured tradition quickly devolves into a full-blown murder mystery, according to New Line’s fleeting logline, and it’s safe to assume that all involved will begin suspecting one another as the night wears on. Think of it like a live-action version of Cluedo, as directed by Vacation duo John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein.
After percolating on the brink of development for almost four years, Game Night is now finally ready to enter production. Filming is expected to kick off this spring, when Rachel McAdams (Doctor Strange), Jason Bateman and New Girl‘s Lamorne Morris will complete the enviable ensemble.
With an all-star cast now in tow, Game Night is expected to kick into high gear very soon indeed. Elsewhere, Kyle Chandler recently added Legendary sequel Godzilla: King of the Monsters to his bustling slate – look for that one to stomp into theaters in March of 2019 – while Sharon Horgan continues to impress in the Amazon original series, Catastrophe.
