Every Notable Movie That’ll Be Available On Disney Plus At Launch

We’re only three months away from the launch of Disney Plus, and the House of Mouse has amassed quite a catalog of films available to stream from the start. In fact, now that Disney has completely acquired Fox, more than 300 movie titles will be available upon its debut on November 12th. And within a year, that’s expected to grow by 200 more.

Considering Disney Plus will go head-to-head with Netflix, Hulu and other at-home streaming services, this large array of exclusive selections is expected to give Disney an upper hand against its ever-growing competition. That being said, while Disney’s platform prides itself as the future home for exclusive Marvel and Star Wars content, the service won’t actually launch with every film in either franchise.

In fact, only four Marvel movies will be accessible from day one – Iron Man, Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World and Captain Marvel. While the rights to Iron Man 2 currently reside at Hulu and Ant-Man and the Wasp is stuck at Netflix, both of those films – along with Avengers: Infinity War, Black Panther, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy and Thor: Ragnarok will hit Disney Plus within a year, while Avengers: Endgame will exclusively premiere on the service on December 11th.

Also included in from the start, each film in the original and prequel Star Wars trilogiesThe Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith, A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi – as well as The Force Awakens and the non-saga spinoff Rogue One. One can still watch The Last Jedi and Solo on Netflix for the time being, but both will assuredly hit Disney’s streaming platform soon, and The Rise of Skywalker will also join the service shortly after its home video release.
