Miss Minutes might be the mascot of the Time Variant Authority, the organization tasked with upholding the Sacred Timeline of the Marvel universe, but the social media-savvy carton clock may have just gone and spoiled a major multiversal crossover to come in Deadpool 3, one that we probably weren’t supposed to have officially confirmed in any way just yet.
The biggest news to hit the MCU fandom this week is naturally the reveal of Hugh Jackman in the classic yellow and blue Wolverine costume on set of the Ryan Reynolds threequel. The set pic is such a huge deal that it’s even caught the attention of the Miss Minutes Twitter account, which has been a fan-favorite destination for Marvel-loving Twitter users ever since Loki launched in 2021.
“Mr. Deadpool sir,” wrote Miss Minutes in her tweet, “I would kindly ask that you keep the timeline intact with Mr. Wolverine thank you.” The Tara Strong-voiced character then signed off on behalf of herself and the TVA.
An innocuous reaction posted to draw in a few likes and retweets? Maybe, but Miss Minutes’ tweet gets a whole lot more interesting when you realize that the TVA has long been rumored to be involved in Deadpool 3 somehow. Owen Wilson’s Agent Mobius has even been talked about as making a cameo. Recent set photos are also believed to depict DP in a car chase with TVA agents.
So, by the looks of things then, whatever Wade Wilson does get up to with Jackman’s Logan will indeed cause enough of a kerfuffle with the flow of time that the TVA will have to get involved. In other words, Miss Minutes may be directly alluding to the top-secret plot of the film in her apparently innocent tweet. I’m not sure Kang the Conqueror — who’s in charge of the TVA these days, don’t forget — will like that much.
Deadpool 3 comes to theaters on May 3, 2024, while Loki season two premieres on Disney Plus this Oct. 6.
