Ever since Transformers: Dark Of The Moon hit theatres, there has been a buzz surrounding two shots. Many moviegoers were claiming that director Michael Bay had inserted shots from his film The Island into Transformers: Dark Of The Moon. The two shots in question both took place during the highway chase and keen observers claimed that Bay had ripped them right out of The Island.

While it was tough to tell for sure without seeing the two films side by side, Youtube user cinefilojermain123 has gone ahead and done just that. He puts both scenes together and gives us a clear look at both films. Turns out that Bay definitely did rip two shots right out of The Island. It looks like moviegoers were correct in their assumption.

Honestly, this type of thing happens all the time, whether you notice it or not. Bay has done it before in other films and many directors use the same technique. They use stock footage to save money. Usually, people don’t notice it and I personally have never caught on to it before. Chances are that the majority of people out there would never even realize it, which is why it happens so often.

Check out the clip below and let us know what you think? Did you notice it the first time around?
