Matthew McConaughey Heads To Space In Full-Length Interstellar Trailer

As was originally promised, the first full-length trailer for Christopher Nolan's Interstellar has arrived today and it pulls back the curtain on what has up until now, been a project shrouded in much secrecy. Really fleshing out some of the plot points, the footage here gives us a good overview of just what's going on in this much-anticipated sci-fi thriller.

As was originally promised, the first full-length trailer for Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar has arrived today and it pulls back the curtain on what has up until now, been a project shrouded in much secrecy. Really fleshing out some of the plot points, the footage here gives us a good overview of just what’s going on in this much-anticipated sci-fi thriller.

From what we see here, it looks as if Earth has run out of food and cannot cultivate. McConaughey’s character is tasked with taking a crew into space in hopes of finding a way to save mankind. Or at least, that’s what I got from it. Either way, it seems that Earth is in a pretty dire situation and McConaughey’s Cooper is going to have to explore some pretty deep parts of space to save it.

Thankfully, this trailer gives us a much better look at the film than we got with the initial teaser. It provides a nice mix of both the emotional story between and a father and his daughter, which seems to be at the core of Interstellar, as well as what looks to be some downright beautiful space footage that shows us McConaughey and his crew travelling around the galaxy, far beyond the limits of our own solar system.

It all looks quite intriguing and as much as we do get to see, you can tell that there’s still tons more that Nolan hasn’t revealed yet. We’ve really only just begun to scratch the surface of what’s going on here, and I have no doubt that audiences are in for some genuine shocks and surprises when the full film arrives.

Interstellar touches down in theatres on November 7th and stars Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck and Michael Caine. Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.
