Late last night, Marvel revealed an all-new behind the scenes clip that showcases some unseen footage for Avengers: Age of Ultron and, perhaps more enticingly, our first real look at Peyton Reed’s vision of Ant-Man.
The brief clip, which you can feast your eyes on above, has the two central characters in action: Paul Rudd’s con man-turned-master thief Scott Lang and Michael Douglas’ Hank Pym. In it, the pair seem to be discussing the science behind the morphing substance, and finish with Rudd’s character staring down at the Ant-Man guise. Nothing spectacular, of course, but at least the footage gives us a peek behind the Marvel curtain. Heck, it could also mean that a full-length trailer will hit the interwebs in the coming weeks.
Further on in the teaser, we are treated to some behind the scenes footage from Avengers: Age of Ultron, which includes Captain America avoiding havoc on a freeway and Scarlett Witch seemingly causing havoc to all that lies before her. We can readily expect to see fresh footage over the coming months for each production, as Marvel prepsĀ its two big hitters for 2015.
Ant-Man will scurry into theaters on July 17th, 2015. For now, be sure to check out the above clip for yourself and let us know if you’re excited to see Lang and Pym in action in the comments.
“Armed with the astonishing ability to shrink in scale but increase in strength, con-man Scott Lang must embrace his inner-hero and help his mentor, Dr. Hank Pym, protect the secret behind his spectacular Ant-Man suit from a new generation of towering threats. Against seemingly insurmountable obstacles, Pym and Lang must plan and pull off a heist that will save the world.”
