The Multiverse Saga has seen the Marvel Cinematic Universe come under fire like never before, with the franchise seemingly stretching itself too thin by continually churning out feature-length and Disney Plus content, leading many doomsayers to predict the end is nigh for its status as the biggest game in town.

Naturally, then, Kevin Feige has turned to the star of Marvel’s worst-reviewed solo movie ever to lend an assist, with Jennifer Garner returning as Elektra in Deadpool 3. Based on the roster so far – complete with the endless rumors – we can infer that Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will be taking a stroll down 20th Century Fox’s memory lane.

Even though she was the sole redeeming aspect of a superpowered dumpster fire that deservedly found itself being torn apart by critics and imploding at the box office, you’ve really got to hope that Deadpool 3 makes a noted point of just how awful Elektra really was.

An 11 percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes makes it the lowest-rated solo adventure for a Marvel Comics hero there’s ever been, and it’s second from bottom on the all-time pile ahead of only Josh Trank’s dismal Fantastic Four, which is a reputation that could best be summed up as both completely unwanted and fully earned.

Critics and audiences hated it even more than Morbius to put things into perspective, even if Garner did the best she could with a contractually-obligated spin-off she knew was a gigantic steaming turd of superheroism.
