M. Night Shyamalan, what can you really say about the guy? He’s more or less a one hit wonder. The Sixth Sense put him on the A-list and Unbreakable kept him there but since then, he’s been on a slow decline. His last film, The Last Airbender, was destroyed by critics and his previous films didn’t do much better.
Despite his recent string of failures, Shyamalan is still working harder than ever. According to Heat Vision, his next project is a film called One Thousand A.E. and it will star Jaden ‘Mini Will’ Smith. The sci-fil film will be produced by Overbrook which is Will and Jada’s production company.
Surprisingly Shyamalan will not pen the script. Instead that job will be going to Gary Whitta, the man who wrote The Book Of Eli.
This could turn out to be an interesting project. Despite not enjoying The Karate Kid, I do think Smith is a good actor and with a script written by Whitta, this could turn out to be somewhat good.
