The first poster has been released for an upcoming film adaptation of Dr. Suess’s The Lorax, in which the appropriately short Danny DeVito will be the voice of the eco-friendly, furry creature. Going with a minimalist theme, the entire poster is orange with a zoomed-in image of the Lorax’s face.
I’m actually kind of a huge fan of the adaptation of The Grinch That Stole Christmas, and Horton Hears a Who was an additionally great film. The Cat in the Hat was clearly awful, despite the valiant efforts of Mike Meyers but I’m still looking forward to The Lorax though, mostly because it’s probably one of Dr. Suess’s best books.
The real question is how they will stretch the story into a full-length film, that was the main problem with The Grinch adaptation. How can they stretch The Lorax in such a way that the story’s integrity remains intact? I guess we’ll find out shortly.
Besides DeVito, other stars such as Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Betty White, Rob Riggle, and Ed Helms will be lending their famous vocals to the film.
