Logan Runtime Reportedly Confirmed By Festival Listing

If a listing on the Berlin International Film Festival website is to be believed, Logan will clock in at 135 minutes when it opens on March 3rd.

Following a marketing campaign jam-packed with thrills, spills and a deluge of suitably stylish monotone photos, Logan is finally – finally! – beginning to approach the home straight.

A March 3rd theatrical release is locked in, but before James Mangold rolls out his R-rated superhero movie to the masses, Logan will stage its world premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival (AKA Berlinale) where Wolverine’s swan song will screen out of competition. News of Logan‘s festival bow first made waves last month, and if nothing else, it’s further proof that James Mangold and Co. are cooking up a superhero film that is decidedly different from both the X-Men films of old and its genre contemporaries.

What’s more, as organizers behind the annual showcase begin dotting the I’s and crossing the T’s in the festival lineup, the alleged runtime for Logan has surfaced along with a new, extended synopsis. Until such a time as we have confirmation from 20th Century Fox, take this one with a pinch of salt, but the BIFF’s website claims Logan‘s runtime clocks in at 135 minutes. Assuming this is true, that’s just under that of X-Men: Apocalypse (147 mins).

On March 3rd, Logan will close the book on Wolverine’s saga once and for all, and despite rumors to the contrary, there’s definitely no room for the Merc With a Mouth among the film’s star-studded cast.

Logan Poster

“In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan’s attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces. “
