Lincoln is now in select theatres and will be expanding next week. Though it isn’t earning universal praise, the reviews are, for the most part, quite good. So good in fact that the film’s director, Steven Spielberg, will be teaming up once again with Lincoln‘s scribe, Tony Kushner.
Speaking to EW, Kushner said that he’s already writing a new script for the director and that he’s been working on it for a couple of weeks. He wouldn’t divulge any other details but it does look like the two are hoping to work together again sometime soon.
Spielberg and Kushner’s first collaboration was Munich, and then came Lincoln, so if you follow the trend, their third film will probably be of the more serious nature and will likely focus on a historial figure/event. But again, that’s just speculation and no official details have been revealed just yet.
Whatever it turns out to be though, you can bet that it will be worth your attention. As always, we’ll keep you posted when we hear more. But in the meantime, feel free to speculate in the comments below on what Tony Kushner and Steven Spielberg may be working on.
