Liam Neeson has had it with those mother *bleeping* terrorists on his mother *bleeping* plane! Or something like that. Following a busy summer of big-budget blockbusters including Wrath of the Titans and Battleship, Neeson continues to pack his slate with action fare and is next set to star in Jaume Collet Sera’s thriller Non-Stop.
The actor was first attached to the project back in April and today we get news that he’ll reunite with his Unknown director for the film.
Sera may not be a household name as of yet, but he is steadily becoming a director of note. He started things off with little-seen offerings House of Wax and Goal II: Living the Dream before capitalizing on the success of Neeson’s Taken with 2011’s Unknown. If you enjoy Neeson’s brand of ass-kicking, then Non-Stop should be right up your…runway.
Neeson will star as an Air Marshall who is forced to stop a threat on an international flight (think Passenger 57 with Wesley Snipes if you ever saw that one). Non-Stop was originally supposed to be headed by Jeff Wadlow (Never Back Down) but he just recently jumped on to direct pseudo-superhero sequel Kick-Ass 2.
All of this sounds pretty by-the-numbers and though as much as I love seeing Neeson kick some serious ass, hopefully he doesn’t get tangled up in too many clunky action vehicles. Or if he does stick to his action ways, hopefully they’re all as excellent as The Grey.
