Star Wars News Net has uncovered a treasure trove of concept art that allegedly reveals many of the ships set to feature in Disney’s untitled Han Solo anthology movie.
The artwork, which actually surfaced via eBay of all places, was purportedly drawn up by a person working on Red Cup – that’s the production name given to Phil Lord and Chris Miller’s origin tale – and considering that one of these images even features a sketch of Alden Ehrenreich kitted out as the young Han Solo, we’re inclined to believe that they’re genuine pieces of concept art.
From troop transport vessels to small, one-man crafts, each design is meticulously crafted, and you’ll be able to trace the creative process right back to its genesis if you dig deep enough. We’ve compiled all of the pics in one handy gallery below, so be sure to click through for a closer look.
It’s worth noting that, at least at the time of writing, Disney is yet to take any form of action, though one would assume that the Mouse House will act quickly to shut down any leaks – particularly if said artwork is up for sale – should they turn out to be factually accurate. Either way, these latest findings from Star Wars News Net cap off a busy week for the Han Solo movie, after aerial set photos of a desert locale surfaced online. Jakku or Tatooine? Or another planet entirely? We’ll leave that one to you.
Smuggler. Scoundrel. Hero? A new Star Wars Story begins on May 25th, 2018, and it’ll shed light on the origin of the great Han Solo. Those pining for more Star Wars content needn’t worry, though, as The Last Jedi is penciled in for December 15th of this year.
