Zack Snyder certainly isn’t waiting on that DC green light to work on even more superhero films, or maybe conclude the story he set out to tell all those years ago, and he has recently shared an update with his fans regarding Rebel Moon, an epic space opera that’s set to introduce a whole new fictional world.
Meanwhile, HBO has released a batch of character posters that highlight The Last of Us cast. With the live-action adaptation making its way to our small screens in less than two months, we can expect to see even more from the series in the upcoming weeks, and maybe Naughty Dog will finally unveil a release date for the Last of Us remake on Windows. Because if there’s one thing we can say with certainty, the PC port won’t be far behind following the television premiere.
Star Wars fans can’t believe Disney didn’t give Andor its well-earned F-bomb
Andor is a very unique Star Wars story in that it undermines almost every established trope in the franchise. Perhaps that’s the reason why so many people loved Cassian Andor’s solo outing, which, for once, doesn’t resort to Skywalker family drama or the Force to tell a compelling story. Andor is a very human story about ordinary protagonists who get caught up in a bigger conflict against the tyrannical rule of the Empire.
Still, this being the Mouse House, there are certain lines you just can’t cross, even if you’ve set out to weave a very dark narrative into existence. For instance, we’ve just learned that Maarva was originally supposed to yell “F*ck the Empire!” in the season one finale, and the fans are none too pleased to learn Disney didn’t allow it in the end.
Zack Snyder is almost finished shooting Rebel Moon, but post-production will be a long journey for the original flick
Good luck convincing Zack Snyder to return to the DC cinematic world — even if new helmsmen James Gunn and Peter Safran want him there — because the director is still busy working on Rebel Moon. The movie is supposed to tell an original story about a human colony at the edge of the galaxy which faces a grave threat at the hands of the tyrant Balisarius and his armies. Now, Snyder has revealed that Rebel Moon will wrap principal photography in two days, beginning the arduous post-production process which will no doubt take a long time as the filmmaker has shot footage for a sequel as well.
The Last of Us gets new character posters ahead of the January premiere
HBO is taking on one of the greatest video games of all time in the form of The Last of Us, so there’s no room for failure in this Pedro Pascal-led adaptation. Fortunately, Chernobyl‘s Craig Mazin is serving as showrunner alongside TLOU creator Neil Druckmann, so the fandom has high hopes for this television outing, even if it masks an underlying skepticism toward the different medium. The network is adamant to convince you, though, so if you still retain doubts about this new ensemble bringing some of your beloved characters to life, these new character posters might finally be enough to sell the illusion.
The Last of Us is slated for a Jan. 15 premiere on HBO platforms.
