Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania might be inspiring a lot of hype in Marvel fans, but they’re also incredibly anxious that the big Phase Five opener is going to kill off its leading man — and Paul Rudd is really doing nothing to allay these fears. Elsewhere, Daredevil: Born Again finally offers some encouraging news for old-school Netflix viewers as Thunderbolts only offers up yet more disappointment to an already ambivalent audience.
Paul Rudd won’t be drawn on if Scott makes it out of Quantumania alive; fans fear the worst
Ever since we got our first look at Quantumania, fans have been fearing for Scott Lang’s safety, and that’s only increased over time. So with the threequel’s release now right around the corner, everyone’s expecting Ant-Man to get smushed under Kang’s boot. Sadly, Paul Rudd himself has done nothing to quell our Quantumania fears by refusing to comment on whether he’ll be back for more Marvel outings after this one. Darn you, Paul, if you weren’t so charming we’d be seriously cross with you right now.
Daredevil: Born Again finally adds a Netflix series veteran to its cast, but probably not one you were expecting
With Daredevil: Born Again adding even more newcomers to its cast, fans were growing desperate for some confirmation that the original stars of the Netflix series would be back for the Disney Plus revival. Right on cue, one such star has seemingly confirmed their return for the new show by sharing a snap from the set on social media. It’s Royce Johnson, who plays Matt Murdock’s cop pal Det. Brett Mahoney. No, we’re sadly still waiting on news from Elden Henson and Deborah Ann Woll.
Thunderbolts disappoints fans even more after losing everyone’s surprise new favorite character
To tell the truth, Thunderbolts has always kinda disappointed the Marvel fandom with its arguably lackluster team roster, but now that’s intensified ten-fold with the rumors that Hannah John-Kamen is exiting the production as Ghost. Though no one was that fussed about the Ant-Man and the Wasp villain before, she’s suddenly now everyone’s favorite character, with many complaining that the remaining team is nothing but samey super-soldiers. Maybe Marvel needs to drop one of these guys into the mix to redress the balance.
Agatha: Coven of Chaos star shares our first look at the show as filming begins
While Born Again may or may not have actually starting filming, we can definitely say that production has begun on another highly anticipated upcoming Marvel show. Heartstopper breakout Joe Locke has shared an official first-look pic straight from the set of Agatha: Coven of Chaos. Locke’s role in the WandaVision spinoff has yet to be confirmed, but the smart money is on him being revealed as an older Billy/Wiccan, Wanda’s son and future Young Avenger. So you may want to keep an eye on Locke’s socials from now on.
Be back here tomorrow, True Believers, as we magic up yet more Marvel news that’s hot off the presses.
