Not the smartest plan, in hindsight.

With it becoming increasingly likely that Jonathan Majors doesn’t have long left as Kang the Conqueror, Marvel hiveminders are wondering if he was ever the real reason behind the villain’s success in the first place. Meanwhile, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania made a lot of mistakes, but its number one biggest goof has now been identified — and it could cause an enormous headache for Marvel Studios as the Multiverse Saga expands.

After being let go from his management and already being removed from upcoming movie projects, Marvel fans remain convinced Marvel is secretly planning on recasting Kang. While that is widely considered to be a franchise-quaking shake-up, folks are actually wondering if it will make less impact than we thought. In a surprising turn of events, the Loki season two teaser at the end of Quantumania is being dubbed its best moment, which has led to a belief catching on that it was in fact Tom Hiddleston’s performance that made Kang such a compelling and foreboding antagonist. Now there’s a hot take for you.

While Quantumania‘s end-credits scene is earning some love, its mid-credits sequence is coming under increased scrutiny. The Council of Kang tease established that every variant of the temporal tyrant in the entire multiverse is played by Jonathan Majors — which pretty much shoots Marvel in the foot when it comes to recasting the character. Without this moment, explaining away his change of face would’ve been the easiest thing, thanks to the gift of the concept of variants, but Quantumania has now backed the Multiverse Saga into a corner that it will be difficult to escape from, should Majors be out the door.

Believe it or not, the internet is already calling for a Morbius reboot (but not with Jared Leto, don’t worry)

We kid you not. Although April Fool’s Day saw Marvel lovers professing their faux-adoration of Morbius, this is the real deal. Marvel and DC icon David Dastmalchian (he was in Quantumania, but don’t hold that against him) has admitted that his dream comic book role is Morbius. Although you might think he’s missed his chance on that one, certain folks are now demanding Marvel give us a reboot of the character so Dastmalchian can come in and wipe away the horror that was Sony’s infamous flick starring Jared Leto. It should be a rule, though, that any future Morbius movie has to feature Matt Smith doing a weird dance scene.

More of the latest Marvel news, like the most mind-blowing concept for the next Kang that we’ve yet heard, will be coming to your neck of the multiverse very soon.
