In the incredible first teaser trailer for Logan, we saw that Wolverine’s healing factor is finally beginning to fail him. That’s something the comic books have dealt with on numerous occasions, and when it happened in the Marvel Universe a couple of years ago, things wrapped up with the death of the iconic hero. Will this movie follow suit?
Well, considering the fact that Logan marks Hugh Jackman’s final appearance as the character, there’s a very good chance that it will. However, the James Mangold-helmed release looks set to add an interesting wrinkle to that by having the hero seemingly deal with Parkinsons. In the latest black and white photo (seen below) from the movie, we actually get a close up look at Wolverine’s hands – minus the claws – and they’re looking pretty beaten up.
In the past, the cuts created by his claws coming out would heal instantly, but we can see here that’s no longer the case. Every time he unsheaths his claws, it hurts, and the fact that these wounds now take longer to heal up has got to be causing him an awful lot of suffering.
We’ll have to wait and see how this will all play out, but expect plenty more of these stylish photos ahead of Logan‘s highly anticipated release on March 3rd, 2017.
