Ant-Man is a movie which featured some very cool Easter Eggs, including a significant nod to a certain wall-crawler in the final few minutes. However, this deleted scene from the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release of the final Phase 2 movie features another, and that’s a reference to the villainous Ten Rings organization.

They were the ones who kidnapped Tony Stark in the first Iron Man movie, and while there have been a few other subtle nods to their existence over the years, it’s a plot thread which has never really been followed up on. The Mandarin being revealed as a fraud in Iron Man 3 saw to that, and while a One Shot later confirmed that the terrorist group exists and is led by the real version of that villain, he’s yet to make an appearance, and with no Iron Man 4, he may never show up.

Regardless, this is a very cool scene from Ant-Man, and the commentary from director Peyton Reed and star Paul Rudd really sheds some light on what we’re seeing. It involvesĀ Darren Cross showing off the capabilities of Pym Particles, something which leads to some very cool visuals of how the tech could be used in a scene which sadly didn’t make it into the final cut of Ant-Man.

Starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas, Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Judy Greer, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Pena, John Slattery, and Hayley Atwell, Ant-Man is set to be released digitally on November 17th and on DVD and Blu-ray on December 8th.
