Chapter Two left John Wick with just one mission: escape New York City with his life intact.
Doing so won’t be easy, mind you, as the world’s finest assassins are already nipping at his heels now that Keanu Reeves’ notorious hitman is officially blacklisted from the Continental Hotel. He did break their golden rule, after all.
Which brings us to John Wick: Parabellum, the third and presumably final chapter in Lionsgate’s action series that finds John Wick on the run from, well, everyone.
Ian McShane, Lawrence Fishburne, Common and Lance Reddick are all expected to return, so we imagine Mr. Wick won’t be totally alone as he attempts to flee New York City by any means necessary. And we mean that in every sense of the word, as the latest Parabellum set video (h/t Discussing Film) finds John Wick on horseback, trotting down the neon-lit streets of Brooklyn.

A $14 million open bounty has been placed on his head, so it’s no wonder John Wick is being pursued by pretty much every assassin in the business. Exactly how he wriggles out of this predicament is another question entirely, but if nothing else, today’s set footage is further proof that Keanu Reeves and Co. are pulling out all the stops for their hardboiled action sequel.
Following two relatively modest releases, John Wick: Parabellum has graduated to Hollywood’s pre-summer blockbuster window, what with a May 17th, 2019 launch date in place for what may well be Keanu Reeves’ last hurrah in the high-stakes world of assassins and deadly killers.
