More Evidence That John Cleese Has A Role in Justice League

The speculation train continues to roll on full steam ahead today, as more evidence has surfaced pointing towards Monty Python member John Cleese having a role in Zack Snyder's Justice League. If you recall, last week some eagle-eyed Twitter users noticed that both DCEU photographer Clay Enos and the official UK account for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice followed the actor. It's obviously a bit of a stretch, but given that this sort of thing has revealed secret casting in the past, fans immediately put two and two together.

The speculation train continues to roll on full steam ahead today, as more evidence has surfaced pointing towards Monty Python member John Cleese having a role in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. If you recall, last week some eagle-eyed Twitter users noticed that both DCEU photographer Clay Enos and the official UK account for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice followed the actor. It’s obviously a bit of a stretch, but given that this sort of thing has revealed secret casting in the past, fans immediately put two and two together.

Now, evidence continues to mount as Cleese, who probably isn’t really a comic book movie fan, has followed Snyder and Ben Affleck on Twitter. As far as we know, the three of them don’t have any projects coming up together and again, I don’t think the actor is particularly into superheroes and the like. So, could this indicate that he has a role in either Justice League or The Batman?

At this point, we’d say it’s pretty likely that Cleese is involved with the DCEU in some way. Given that Justice League has already wrapped filming and we haven’t heard anything official on his casting, we imagine that he’ll probably have a small cameo in the flick before going on to have a larger role in The Batman, or perhaps another DC movie.

As for who he may be playing, that’s impossible to know right now but fans seem to think it could be either Glorious Godfrey or Dr. Fate, or that he may just be lending his voice and won’t actually appear on screen. Either way, having John Cleese involved can only be a good thing.

Of course, without anything having been confirmed, this remains as speculation for now and until we hear something from the studio, it’s important to take it with a grain of salt. However, after last week’s report and now this bit of news, we won’t be at all surprised if Warner Bros. comes out with an announcement in the near future and makes things official.

While we wait for something for the studio, tell us, do you think John Cleese has a role in Justice League, or is this just another case of the speculation train rolling too far off the tracks? Sound off down below and let us know!
