Ever since Jon Bernthal was killed off in The Walking Dead, it seems as if he’s been trying to build his profile. The actor has already signed on to star in Frank Darabont‘s new T.V. series L.A. Noir and now he has landed a part in Martin Scorsese‘s next film, The Wolf Of Wall Street. Deadline is reporting that Bernthal will play “a drug dealer and money launderer” in the film.
The Wolf Of Wall Street stars Leonardo DiCaprio as real life stockbroker Jordan Belfort and follows his “dramatic rise and fall on Wall Street, along with his hard-partying lifestyle and tumultuous personal life that included drug and alcohol addiction.” Bernthal’s part seems like an interesting one, and even though it may be small, a role in a Scorsese film is defiantly a career boost.
The film will begin production this August, so we can probably expect a few more casting announcements in the near future.
The Wolf of Wall Street was written by Boardwalk Empire showrunner Terence Winter and co-stars Jonah Hill, Kyle Chandler and The Artist star Jean Dujardin.
