Keeping up with the current trend of The Dark Knight Rises news stories, here’s another one. Yup, that’s right, more news on Christopher Nolan‘s third Batman film. And with the movie officially in production, don’t expect the related news stories to end anytime soon. Only a few hours after we brought you the first look at Tom Hardy as Bane, we now have some casting news to report on.
Nolan has added three more actors to the film; Matthew Modine, Tom Conti and Joey King. Variety is bringing us the news and they say that the roles are currently unknown, aside from Modine who is playing a character named Nixon, which doesn’t really give us much to go on. It’s likely that while the characters may move the story forward, the roles will be small and they probably will only appear in just a couple scenes.
The three newcomers to the film will join the already confirmed all-star cast that includes Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Marion Cotillard and Josh Pence. The Dark Knight Rises will be released next year on July 20th.
