If anything, Teen Titans Go! To The Movies is shaping up to have the most bizarrely atypical cast for a DC animated film this side of The LEGO Batman Movie. Well, that’s aside from those voicing the titular adolescent heroes whom we’ll list off a bit later.
For now, let’s discuss those Justice Leaguers who’ll be putting in appearances, shall we?
Already, we’ve known that Nicolas Cage will be voicing Superman, just as Lil Yachty and Halsey will do for Green Lantern and Wonder Woman, respectively. Still, you had to figure that with those heavy hitters showing up, the studio surely wouldn’t pass up including its top moneymaker, right?
Originally, we suspected that Will Arnett would again lend his pipes to Batman, but we recently learned that he will, in fact, be playing Slade Wilson instead. With that out of the way, we’re as shocked as anyone to learn that late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel has been cast as the Dark Knight, which he confirmed with the following Tweet:

While this could certainly go either way, there have been some actors who’ve surprised us in the past, most notably Diedrich Bader in Batman: The Brave and the Bold and William Baldwin in Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths, both of whom turned out to be fine Caped Crusaders in their own right. Arguably, nobody has surpassed Kevin Conroy, but let’s give Kimmel a chance to do his thing.
Teen Titans Go! To The Movies is set to open in theaters on July 27, 2018, and will be directed by Aaron Horvath and Peter Rida Michail, from a screenplay by Michael Jelenic and Horvath. Scott Menville (Robin), Greg Cipes (Beast Boy), Khary Payton (Cyborg), Tara Strong (Raven) and Hynden Walch (Starfire) star.
