Here’s an interesting story. Apparently, in the film Machete, Jessica Alba’s nudity was computer generated. If you’ve seen the film, you’ll know the scene in question. It’s a side profile of Alba and we see her in the shower. She seems nude but in reality, she was wearing clothes and through CGI effects, the filmmakers were able to make it appear as though she was nude.
Clearly Robert Rodriguez wanted Alba nude in the film so more tickets would be sold. After all, I’m sure a lot of people were more inclined to go see it once they heard Alba was nude. Does it really make a difference if the nudity was real or not? /Film has a nice article on the issue but what do you think?
Is CGI nudity the next ‘new thing’ and if so, does it really matter?
