Jason Flemyng And Matt Smith May Be Up For Roles In Star Wars: Episode VII

It's been a few days now since we've heard a Star Wars: Episode VII rumor, hasn't it? That doesn't mean they've died down though, not at all. In fact, this week we have not one but two rumors for you. And of course, both of them will likely turn out to be nothing more than just that: rumors.

It’s been a few days now since we’ve heard a Star Wars: Episode VII rumor, hasn’t it? That doesn’t mean they’ve died down though, not at all. In fact, this week we have not one but two rumors for you. And of course, both of them will likely turn out to be nothing more than just that: rumors.

First up we’re hearing that Matt Smith of Doctor Who fame has met with J.J. Abrams for a role in the upcoming blockbuster. As you would imagine, the report doesn’t extend much beyond that and we have absolutely no details on who Smith would play in the film. Still, as a geek icon of sorts, having the former Doctor join the Star Wars universe would definitely be cool.

Elsewhere, Jason Flemyng has posted some tantalizing pictures on Twitter that show the official script for Star Wars: Episode VII. This likely means that he’s reading for a role but again, nothing has been confirmed and for all we know, the actor could just be playing some kind of sick joke on us. Kind of like when Justin Bieber posted a picture of the Batman vs. Superman script, leading people to believe that he might be up for the role of Robin.

So, what can we learn from all of this? Well, nothing really, except that Flemyng and Smith might be involved in the film. Then again, so might every other actor in Hollywood at this point.

Star Wars: Episode VII will release on December 18th, 2015. Hopefully by that time we’ll know just who is going to be headlining the film.

Check out Flemyng’s photos below, if you wish, then head to the comments section and let us know if you still even care to read these casting rumors, because we’re almost at the point where we don’t even care to report on them.
