James Badge Dale, Dermot Mulroney and a couple more actors have joined Joe Carnahan’s upcoming film, The Grey. Starring Liam Neeson, who replaced Bradley Cooper, the film tells the story of a group of pipeline workers who are flying back from Alaska when their 737 goes down. Shortly after, the group finds themselves in a dire situation when a pack of rogue wolves starts to hunt them. Dallas Roberts, Frank Grillo, Nonso Anozie and Joe Anderson have also joined the film. The film is currently without a release date or distributor.
On shooting the film independently, Carnahan said:
“I haven’t had a situation like this since ‘Narc,’ where there’s no distributor, but you get to make the movie you want to, staying as light on your feet as you can.”
While Smokin Aces 2 and The A-Team weren’t top tier films, Narc was great, and I’ve always been a fan of Liam Neeson. So as of now, I’m optimistic about the film, especially with Carnahan comparing it to Deliverance and Touching The Void.
