I know they have a film to promote but I think Fox are now over doing it with the amount of trailers they are rattling out for the upcoming franchise reboot X-Men: First Class. They clearly want to showcase the film before release and really get it out there, which could be smart considering a lot has happened to the superhero genre since it left our screens in 2006. A lot of this trailer though is just recycled material with only a few new snippets.
Still, I guess something is better than nothing. As said before, I’m excited about this. It’s shaping up as my most anticipated film for the summer. It looks great and the cast is fantastic. The film is directed by Matthew Vaughn and will be released on June 3rd. You can watch the trailer and read the synopsis below. (/Film)
X-MEN: FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.
