Two new stills from the upcoming remake of the 1985 horror-comedy Fright Night have been released. The film, which is being directed by Craig Gillespie (Lars and the Real Girl) from a screenplay by Marti Noxon (I Am Number Four), has an interesting mix of cast members that includes Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, Toni Collette, Imogen Poots, David Tennant and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
Yelchin is playing Charlie Brewster, “a high school senior who’s on top of the world—that is until Jerry (Farrell) moves in next door and Charlie discovers that he is a vampire preying on the neighborhood.”
The stills themselves are also rather interesting. The first features Tennant as the vampire expert Peter Vincent (though, taken out of context, he looks like he could be some sort of magician). The second features Collette and Yelchin surrounded by flames. Those vampires don’t play nice do they?
The film is due to be released on August 19th.
