7) A Serious Man (2009)
The Coen Brothers have explored dark humor to great effect in a number of their most iconic films, and A Serious Man is no exception. After the final scene ends, an announcement appears stating that “no Jews were harmed in the making of this motion picture,”
The disclaimer is amusing to start off with, but when you actually start to think about how the Jewish characters are treated in the film, the gag begins to take on a more ironic meaning.
