From one British classic to another, we now turn to the Beatles second feature Help!, which features a surprising dedication to Elias Howe in the credits, the man “who invented the sewing machine in 1846.”
Some believe that the dream which inspired Howe to invent the sewing machine also inspired a scene in the film where Ringo Starr is similarly surrounded by tribe natives who are threatening him with spears.
