Hawkeye And Ant-Man Return In Epic Avengers 4 Fan Trailer

Hawkeye and Ant-Man might have been missing from Infinity War, but they'll both be back in action for Avengers 4 and a new fan trailer is here to tease their return.

Touting six Infinity Stones, 22 heroes and one Mad Titan, Avengers: Infinity War was undoubtedly one of the biggest superhero movies ever attempted, so it’s a credit to Joe and Anthony Russo that the Marvel epic blazed past one box office record after another during its theatrical run and will probably break a few more when it hits Blu-ray/DVD later this month, too.

However that may be, there were one or two characters who were strangely missing from Infinity War‘s gigantic cast list. Chief among them being Clint Barton/Hawkeye, who hasn’t so much as fired a single arrow since his bit part in Civil War. Same goes for Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man, though his absence was somewhat cushioned thanks to July’s Ant-Man and the Wasp. Still, fans certainly missed seeing both of them but thankfully, they’ll be back in time for Avengers 4.

Granted, we don’t yet know how they’ll be pulled into the battle, but a new concept trailer for the pic has arrived online this week and features Scott and Clint fighting alongside the likes of Iron Man, Captain America and Thor, among others. As far as fan-made efforts go, it’s a pretty enjoyable piece of work – even if it’s mostly made up of Infinity War footage – and should help whet your appetite.

Of course, what this trailer doesn’t show us is how exactly the gang will get out of their current predicament. It’s a pretty grim one, too, with half of the population wiped out and Thanos seemingly unstoppable. Still, the show must go on, and with the likes of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and Spider-Man: Far From Home cramming up the MCU pipeline, the very future of Marvel’s cinematic franchise rests on Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and their ability to undo the Mad Titan’s extinction event. So, you know, no pressure.

Avengers 4 opens big on May 3rd, 2019, by which point Kevin Feige and Co. will be ready to introduce Captain Marvel to the fold. Chances are she’ll quickly become an ace in the hole for our flailing heroes, given that her powers are practically unrivaled.
