The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has turned into either a fanboy’s dream come true or worst nightmare, depending on how you look at it. If you’re in the camp that loves to know everything about production and have countless things to speculate about in the time building up to film’s release, then Marc Webb and his cast have been catering to you. If you’re the sort of fan who doesn’t like to see anything about a movie before opening night, not even a trailer, well then I’d advise you avoid the internet all together for the next year.
If you’re still reading, I gather that you are indeed interested in a few sneak peaks from the film. The latest couple of photos from the set are perhaps the most revealing yet. While we obviously know what Peter Parker and Gwen Stacey look like, most of the new additions to the cast still haven’t been revealed to the public eye, but that changes now as two more characters have been featured in pictures posted on Twitter.
First, an image of Harry Osborn, as played by Dane DeHaan, has made its way to the internet thanks to DeHaan himself. He posted a picture of himself on set, giving us our first look at the actor who’s stepping into the role previously played by James Franco. In the image, DeHaan menacingly stares at someone as he’s getting into a car. He appears to be sleep deprived and rather unhappy.
The second picture we have today is the first look at Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon. We previously got a glimpse of Foxx as a blue Electro in some photos snapped on set, but this is the first chance to see him in his pre-transformation state. As you can see from the picture (check it out below) Dillon definitely has an obsession with our web-slinging hero. This balding, thick rim-wearing Dillon is a much less menacing figure than the blue Electro he morphs into, so it should be very interesting to see what exactly sparks the transformation in Webb’s version of the Electro story.
